Session 1 - Building with IQ


Get off to a great start by learning how to build with the IQ Kit! You’ll jump into a hands-on building challenge to build your first tower. Then you’ll learn about how to make your tower more stable and rigid so you can build the tallest tower possible!

VEX IQ

Session 2 - Driving the BaseBot


This session is all about driving your robot! You’ll learn how to drive your BaseBot with the Controller, as you navigate around obstacles and through a custom driving course.

You’ll test out different driver control configurations to find out which one works best for you, and then hone your driving skills to compete in the Fastest Lap Challenge!

Session 3 - Driving the Clawbot


Get ready for a robot relay! In this session you will learn how to drive your Clawbot and control the arm and claw with the Controller. You’ll practice your skills to move different objects in a robot relay race. Then you’ll learn about how to make your Clawbot even better, so you can compete in the Relay Race Challenge!

VEX IQ

Session 4 - Coding the Clawbot


Now that you’re an expert driver, it’s time to learn to code your Clawbot! In this Session we dive into coding using VEXcode IQ, so that you can code your Clawbot to play robot basketball games. You’ll create projects to move your Clawbot for Basketball Drills, then build on what you learned to play a game of Robot Basketball!

Session 5 - Coding Games


In your final Session, you’ll compete in your biggest challenge yet - the Capstone Challenge! To play this game, your score is made up of Driving Skills (where you play with the Controller) and Coding Skills (where you play with a coding project and no Controller). You’ll learn different coding tips and tricks to help you strategize and score even more points along the way!
